MAINTENANCE JOBS


Maintenance Manager    NC    New
This role will direct and coordinate activities of employees engaged in
repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment.
Individual will have six direct reports and 27 indirect reports.  This
position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities
Review job orders to determing work priorities.
Provides leadership and day-to-day direction for all maintenance functions.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply
of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Develops preventive and predictive maintenance program in conjunction
with engineering and maintenance staff.
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance report and statistics
to plan and modify maintennance activities.
Inspects operating machines and equipmemt for conformance with
operational standards.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and proceudures designed
to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization
of labor and materials.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and
modifications with design engineers.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance
and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Interface with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to
resolve maintenane problems and recommend measures to improve
operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
Oversees, coordinates and reviews maintenance project activities to
determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing
project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to
various phases of project.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project
progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Directs the Maintenance team in the preparation of periodic and annual
shutdown activities, and repond effectively during unplanned shutdowns.

Requirements
BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
Five plus years Maintenance Management experience in a continuous
process manufacturing environment.
Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic
processes with an emphasis on PLC based process automation control
system.
Strong Allen Bradley or PLC experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
Strong statistical analysis and manufacturing process analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
Wood, composite wood product, forest products, paper or pulp industry
experience.

Salary
$90,000 - $105,000
